Why we started a Wolverhampton Funerals Directors

  • Having personally experienced the loss of direct family, we felt that a heartfelt funeral service was needed in Wolverhampton. Knowing not only the pain of losing a loved one, but the difficulties in trying to arrange a funeral when the pain is still so raw we created Tailored Funerals to make the funeral process simpler and compassionate...

That is why we started Tailored Funerals, to give a heartfelt service after being on the other side so many times and just being ‘sold’ a service, when I really needed help, support and guidance.

As Funeral Directors we are a member of The National Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors (SAIF).  We ensure that both the preparations for the funeral  and the funeral service itself, are carried out in a dignified and sensitive way. We are considerate of those with and without a religous and cultural background and work with families at these difficult times.

UNDERSTANDING FUNERAL COSTS

How much is a Standard Funeral

Our services start from £1350 (see our packages) and over 70% of funerals in the UK are cremations. When you see that the average UK cost for a funeral with cremation is around £3,600 (compared to a burial, which costs around £4,600) it's good to review your choices.

More and more people are reviewing their requirements and some are opting for a direct cremation. A direct cremation does not consist of a service as part of the process.  To see all of your options use our handy pricing calculator this breaks down all of the costs giving you complete transparency and control.

As a Wolverhampton funeral director, we ensure a local service to Wolverhampton and surrounding areas (We're also on the Wolverhampton Directory).  We give  full selection of choice to the families we work with.  See our funeral calculator to tailor your costs.

A Standard Funeral includes
  • Completing the required paperwork
  • Collection or scattering of cremated remains
  • Simple coffin
  • Care and presentation of the deceased
  • Direct conveyance of the coffin to the crematorium

These are the necessities, however, there are additional services we as a funeral director can provide depending on what you are looking for.

The forms you will need

For a funeral, there will be a number of forms required before you can get the most selected option of a cremation:

  • Certificate for burial or cremation

Also know as a Green Form, this is for burial and cremation and provided to you when you register the death.

  • Application for cremation

Provided by us, signed by you to enable the cremation to take place.

  • Form 4

This is a certificate from a medical attendant, usually provided by the doctor who signed the death certificate. Organised by us, your funeral director.
